Background

Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria

Dextrose is a sugar derived from corn and research suggests that it is very valuable when mixed with liquid nitrogen. Dextrose has a very valuable role to play in supplying the sugars that feed the bacteria as the bacteria are just beginning to break dormancy and get active in the soil.

Phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) are beneficial bacteria capable of solubilizing inorganic phosphorus from insoluble compounds. This solubilization ability of rhizosphere microorganisms is considered to be one of the most important traits associated with plant phosphate nutrition. Phosphorus (P) is one of the major essential macronutrients for plants and is applied to soil in the form of phosphate fertilizers. However, a large portion of soluble inorganic phosphate which is applied to the soil as chemical fertilizer is immobilized rapidly and becomes unavailable to plants. Phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) have the potential to enhance phosphate-induced immobilization of metals to remediate contaminated soil.

  • A group of beneficial bacteria capable of hydrolyzing organic and inorganic phosphorus from insoluble compounds.
  • Produces organic acids like malic, succinic, fumaric, citric, tartaric acid and acetic acid which fastens the phosphate uptake, maturity and increase yield.
  • Reduce 25-50% phosphate fertilizer requirement.
  • Improves the plant health and soil health.
  • Stimulate plant growth and increase crop yield.
  • Provide protection against drought and some soil borne diseases as they do not allow pathogens to flourish.
  • It activates plant potency and regulates metabolizing.
  • Promotes root growth and vigorous development of the buds.
  • Induce a greater flowering, promotes the pollination and fruit set of fruits.
